About Me

A friend once told me that I am like an onion - to be peeled layer by layer. Well, I said it’s simple; you just need to go a little deeper to seek the exotic treasure in me.

I have a warm and friendly personality. My main strengths are adaptability, commitment, discipline and a positive attitude. Striving for continuous self-improvement has always been a priority for me. However, even though I believe strongly in personal growth, I also love working with people.

I am punctual because life is just too short to waste it waiting around for each other. I try to be efficient in all that I do. I like music, especially Jazz. I play keyboard instruments (organ & piano) and the Gamelan (a traditional Malay musical instrument).

For exercise I used to play squash and do Yoga, but now I only go to the gym. I read whenever I can as I love to learn new things and my interest spans a wide spectrum of topics from business management to cookery, photography to wellness and nutrition - almost anything and everything revolving around daily lifestyles.

Keeping ourselves motivated can be a challenge almost every day in our modern lives, as we walk through the day receiving all sorts of influences. I always make the time to care for myself spiritually too.

I read my Bible for daily inspiration and have developed the habit of positive thinking to keep myself motivated. Here’s one of my favorite poems, which is truly a jewel for inspiration.:

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,

When the road you're trudging seems all uphill.

When the funds are low and the debts are high,

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.

When care is pressing you down a bit,

Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,

As everyone of us sometimes learns.

And many a fellow turns about,

When he might have won had he stuck it out.

Don't give up though the pace seems slow,

You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than

It seems to a faint and faltering man.

Often the struggler has given up,

When he might have captured the victor's cup.

And he learned too late when the night came down,

How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out,

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.

And you never can tell how close you are,

It may be near when it seems afar.

So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,

It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.

I have 17 years of experience in the entertainment industry, as an audio engineer in studio recording and mixing for television & radio commercials, documentary videos, corporate videos, television programs and jingles. As producer, I market the company’s service and provide technical advice to clients.

I have a very keen sense of hearing and I like to work on projects that allow me to flex my creative muscles. I believe strongly in quality and excellence. Starting all tasks and finishing them well, achieving outstanding results – I do realise all these require a high degree of organisational skills, initiative, decisiveness, creativity and commitment.

Over the years I obtained several local and international industry awards for my work, such as Gold awards from Kancil, New York Festival and the London Broadcasting Award. I was also actively involved in sound design for stage plays and movies and have also appeared in commercials and television comedy.

Above all an undying passion and a strong belief in myself and my dreams – that is my credo for future success.
